2002 Dodge Ram, Parking Light Prob (help)

Don't know what the prob is but you should use a purple / YELLOW at the switch which is a negative trigger with a 1.5k resistor inline between the alarm and wire.  If you are intent on using a pos trigger parking light wire the black and yellow is at the connector on the driver side firewall on the outside.  Just move the loom and tag it there.  Actually you should prob take it to the dealer you may have blown something in the bcm. Since it should still be under warranty you should just make it look as stock as possible and have a dodge dealer look at it.  I know dodge has been having trouble with 02-03 ram bcm's and instrument clusters.  Also does the alarm work all the lights or just the left?Certified Security Specialist

In that case, if there is not a seperate fuse for right and left lights ( this is more common on european vehicles, never seen one on a domestic vehicle ) then you might have blown a trace or circuit in the bcm.  If you did not want to go to the dealer then you can wire a relay for the lights.  You would prob need one for the parking lights, low beam, and one for the high beam ( unless the car switches the ground between high and low ).  What had happened is that you drew too much current adding the neon liscense plate cover either blowing a fuse or something in the bcm.  But my opinion is to take it to a dealer or to autozone ( autozone will usually scan the car for free and point you in the direction of what is needed to fix a problem ) and have them do a diagnostic on the cars computer system.  This way you can be sure.Certified Security Specialist
