I'm not an authorized dealer/distributor, so I usually end up getting most of my parts and supplies from http://www.partsexpress.com  They sell relays for as low as 99 cents(which are a poorer quality though) and doorlock actuators for 4 bucks each. I usually end up paying no more than 7 or 8 bucks shipping, even on large orders. I buy a lotta stuff from partexpress. even stuff like diodes, which are only a nickel!

funny story:......I placed an order there about a month ago, and I was pleased with the pricing($28.98 for 20 spdt Bosch relays) and then came the prices for shipping to Vancouver BC, $25.00.  After falling off my computer chair, i just closed the explorer window and went to sleep promising myself never to visit partsexpress.com again!

Dam, good point. I forgot you were in Canada, my bad. but if you order enough stuff at one time, wont it be worth it? or do they jack up the shipping even more? Even on my largest orders (200 bucks) the shipping was only like 8 to 10 bucks. oh well, you can still see what kind of deal  Velocity Motors can give you, after all he's in canada too.

I have distributors in both the USA and in Canada so I can offer comparable ( if not better than partexpress ) prices to anyone in North America. Generally, most companies charge shipping costs according to the size of order and the weight associated with the order.  Dollar value is not used as often because you can have a $ 300.00 item that weighs less than a pound, but the shipping is less than a whole lot of items that is only $ 100.00 but weighs in at 25 lbs and comes in a box 20x20x20. As well, because we are in Canada, it seems that the shipping rates double for that of the same item going to the USA ?!?
