I need to know where exactly I will get my tach wire for a 97 full size pick up? Also, where will I find any other wires I will need for remote start.  And finally, is there anything I should watch out for?

This is a Full Size Pick Up, right? Gasoline? If so. the Tach wire is a white, 18 ga. wire at the PCM, which is mounted on the FL fenderwell ... 2 BIG plugs there ... lots of wires ...

I don't recall which engines these trucks have ... is it the old Gen I smallblock?Does it have TBI & a distributor? If so, the tach is easy to get at the distributor ... also a 18 ga. white wire.

If the ignition is distributorless, you could also try an injector ... but the white at the PCM is best...
