fiberglassing interior pieces

im going to start fiberglassing my interior i have a 99 zx2.I was wondering how i should fiberglass the hard plastic pieces and the dash and door panels which are a vinyl type material.any suggestions?thanks in advance

You mean you want the fiberglass look? Or do you want to add component speakers to the plastic pieces? As far as the dash, some people choose to use actual fiberglass, and some people just add filler over the dash, sand, paint etc...Im a fiberglass whore!!

i want to fiberglass the door panels and put speaker pods in them.......as for the filler on the dash will that fall off or anything?...what is a good filler to use?...and the hard plastic pieces if i just sand them will it look fiberglassed?

you're going to want to sand the texture out of the hard plastic pieces with like an 80 grit or so, then shoot them with a good high build primer like SEM high build, couple of coats, sand that, then paint. For the vinyl pieces (dash, door panels) you must first remove the vinyl, sand or scrape off any foam padding, then wrap with fleece, resin, lay a couple layers of mat, sand, bondo, sand, primer, paint.
