how to tell if a wire is fried??

I think one of the wires coming from the brain might of been fried everything else on it works fine,, is there any way to tell if its been fried??

you could disconnect the wire from what ever sensor or power it goes to and then take a dmm and measure the resistance between the end of the wire and the plug.  If there is either high or ablsolute no connection then the wire is bad.  If there is around .01 or around that small then the wire shoud be fine.  If it is just a feature that is not turning on any more then it is more likely in the alarm and not wiring (if everything is connected correctly)>
