6 1/2 inch subwoofer enclosure

Kind of a long story but I have a customer who has a 93 Corvette and wants me to build a enclosure for 6 1/2" subwoofers I have heard it done before but would really like some ideas if anyone has any. I can use 2 or 4 subs but have to be 6 1/2"Fatgotti    Yeah my name is John and I am FAT!! YEAH BABY

What type of out put dose this customer expect? What type of music dose he listen to. How much space is he willing to part with? Is he trying to get good sound quality? I do have some sugestions but I need to know what you and your customer are after.

Mostly jass, already did 2 sets of components just trying to bring a little low end into the vehicle not trying to shake nothing but he has challenged me to this and I cannot turn down a challenge, if you are familiar with a 93 corvette I can take as much space that is left over after he places to small overnight bags are placed in the front of the hatch (directly behind the seats) so I have the back half of the hatch. roughly 12' x 24' x 10' Fatgotti    Yeah my name is John and I am FAT!! They don’t cost much because they are not marketed for the car audio industry and come strait from Taiwan to this warehouse. They are 8 ohms each. Wire them in parallel for a single 4 ohm load. The box Isobaric double tuned parallel band pass Chamber one (VB1)is 1.1 cu.ft With a 2” port 5.7” long tuned to 32.64hz Chamber two (VB2)is .442 cu.ft With a 3” port 9.3” long tuned to 60.38hz This box will have fast bass and will also play deep. You will get about the same amount of output as a single healthy 8” in a vented enclosure The red line is the way that the box will sound outside the car and the orange line represents roughly how it will sound in the car. Make sure to give it 150 watts total at 4 ohms and if the amp has a subsonic filter set it to 30hz that will give you the ability to play even louder. This box is big at 1.5 cubic feet, but good bass takes up space. Don’t stuff the box, and don’t worry about the tuning frequencies. Just build it to the volume that I recommend along with the exact port lengths and it will sound great. The sub in VB1 is wired out of phase so that they both move in the same direction.

     I have never built a Isobaric double tuned parallel band pass enclosure before so if I wire sub A's + to sub B's - and vise versa then parrelel to amp I will get a 4 ohm load?  Thanks for help I am really excited now I get tired of the same ole boxes over and over. this is not of the norm and I thank you for all of your help.Fatgotti    Yeah my name is John and I am FAT!!
