pin 86 is connected via two three amp diodes bands facing towards the relay, the ignition and the spare indicator wire is connected to the other side of the diodes. pin 87 remain unused. Howie the way you described will work yes, but in the event he had to use the hazards in a case of emergency with every blink of the hazards the siren would also sound, the method i gave would prevent the sounding of the siren at any given time with the indicators in use, the only time the chirps will be generated would be when the alarm remote is used. Cheers

Relay NOT needed, t&t, diode placed where I said will block feedback from indicators/hazards, indicator feed more than powerful (current handling) to run siren or extra sounder. If the alarm siren has a plug in front, then it's a Cobra and is a speaker not a siren you will need the extra sounder.

i just thought this over, discard the indicator to pin 86 thiought, just carry the ignition feed to this terminal, no diode needed,

howie that system he has is factory, he would therefore be using an aftermarket siren, there will be none present in the vehicle, that indicator wire you are referring to would actually be the vehicle's actual indicator and not an alarm's output to indicator wire, get where i'm going,

Yes but not factory installed, it never is in the UK, at least not on far east vehicles, also in Ireland they have or had a lot of grey imports. If it's official the alarm is dealer installed with OEM type plugs, the leading manufacturer would be Cobra, this would either be with it's own remotes or an add on both Cat 2-1, i.e. factory transponder imobiliser with bat back-up siren etc.etc. Or controlled via the factory key fobs. Either way there has to be an indicator wire coming from the alarm's ECU. This will be either pos or neg going.  We don't know any of this so don't make assumpyions. I am because I've seen them before on Toyota (Fujitsu), Nissan, Mits and Daewoo (all Cobra). They are all installed at importer or dealer level. The control units are usually behind the glovebox or high up on the kick panels. The reason I'm plumping for Cobra is the fact they handle most of the dealer fit stuff here for imports, also their sirens are speakers not sirens. Don't DEI make a couple ,like that on the old Con 450 amongst others.? Unfortunately this person either can't be bothered or doesn't know how to tell us, so why are we hacking at each other? P.S The indicator line + sounder + diode routine works a treat, I've even done it on a Lexus!
