hello all

i am working on my cousins 94 monte and his wife doesnt want the keyless hooked up all she wants is the remote start .

my question is stupid i know but do i have to hook up the keyless?

i have everything hooked up properly (yes i have the passlock) and i cant get anything ......no lights flash no turn over nothing

so second question would be do i need relays to hook up the keyless? any imput is greatly appriciated

the package says diy with full instructions and even tech support

i called the tech line and asked a few ?? and was told i was hooked correctly the only thing i can figure is it has to do with the locks........help.....

Since it is not mentioned, I will assume you have the BOA 265B since you are referencing door locking.
Did the remotes program? Since you say "no lights flash no turn over nothing"
I found this to be the absolute biggest PITA with those systems and the main reason I will no longer install them for people that bring them to me. Make sure the remotes actually programmed to the system first then continue your troubleshooting.

No, you do not have to hook up the door locks. But if you do not hook them up the owner will have to carry two remotes.
In my experience with the Boa systems you need to be more than 8' away from the vehicle for the remotes to program. For some reason they would not program when close to the vehicle. Keep in mind that you will also have to reprogram the remotes any time the vehicle battery is disconnected.

Exactly! Hence the reason for the PITA statement earlier.
