installed an aps-687 with an xk01 data module and used the D2D (data to data) wire connection between the audiovox unit and the xk01. it learned the pk2 no problem on the 03 trailblazer i installed it on , but the power door locks weren't working, after i hardwired the lock/unlock/ground when running, the locks worked. So im just curious if anyone else has been having any problems with the audiovox remote starters when using the D2D wire connection with the XK modules?

I am not an experienced installer so forgive me if I say something stupid but...

There is a note in the xk01 documentation that reads "In some cases the AMDL may only bypass the PasslockII via data.  Once programmed, test the door lock inputs to determine if the AMDL will activate these functions via DATA.  If there is no activation, then the door lock system is resistance based and will need to be controlled via analog."

I've run into a few issues with using the data cable as well, so far only on GM vehicles.  The problem I have had was that intermittently the start unit would receive a positive shut down command (from the bypass I would assume) but would get hung up/confused and would have to be reset by pulling the fuse to the unit.  After which it would work fine for another 50 or so tries... Getting rid of the D2Dcable seemed to fix the issue.  So far, no trouble with Ford,Toyota, etc.

the part came out once
therefore it must go back in
where is that hammer

I have read in a couple of other forums that the modules are indeed having some type of issue when using D2D connections. The suggestion is exactly what you have done already, hook it up using analog connections.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
