Want to install a pioneer deck that I have in place of the factory 6 disc changer that no longer functions. What all do I need other than the install kit and wire harness? I am guessing I will need something to be able to hook up to the amp so that the sub works correctly even though the pioneer deck has and amp itself.
Also, are there any other hidden secrets that I need to know about?

OK thanks...I saw that too, just wanted to make sure that was the thing to do. Was afraid I would be pushing to much from the pioneer deck (50 x 4 Mosfet) into the factory amp where it would cause either complications or malfunctions.

you should not have any problems if u think about it u are just powering the factory anp and supplying signal to it. So it should not mess with the internal amp on the pioneer. I have a ford system with the jbl 8 speaker system and never had a problem using aftermarket deck.

Just found a better option for use on Pioneer decks which usually have 2 RCA outs. Use the Metra 70-5519(has 2 male RCAs instead of just 1 like on the metra 70-5516), that way you don't need to get an additional y-cable.
