Please help me. i just install a viper 791xv into an 03 nissna murano. i have same exact problem with someone posted down there. my car start with the remote when i turn the key to ON position, and will not shut off  when step on the Brake and shut off when turn the key off.

Ive got the Viper 791XV (The one with the LCD remote start system) currently installed. Everything is ok except for the remote start.  Whenever I try to remote start the vehicle, the vehicle will turn the ignition on, crank, but the starter wont turn over. Either that or the car stays on for a second, and then shuts off on its own.

Yes, Ive got a relay wired up for the 2nd starter using a diagram from Velocity (Something, I forget the rest of his screen name here). As far as the bypass goes, I have one but I didnt hook it up yet BUT I was testing the remote starter WITH the key in the ignition. I also tried it with the bypass all hooked up and still nothing. For the tach wire I went straight to the middle coil it is the Gray wire.  Im 99% sure that Ive got the right wire because when I programmed  the learning tach the system read it. Ive also tried setting the crank time longer. Im also sure I have the correct brake wire.

So... Im stuck. I held my test light to the ignition wire of the car while remote starting and it seems like the ignition isnt staying on. I also tried to remote start the car by turning the key to "on" while it remote starts, but you know usually when you remote start a vehicle, and you turn the key on withOUT pressing the brake.... You can still turn the key off, and the engine would be still running right? Not with this car...

The vehicle NOT shutting down when you push the brake pedal, points towards the wrong wire being tagged. The brake wire

BRAKESWITCH RED / green In 16-pin Gray plug above hood release   +

So, your ign. is testing like accessory?

Your symptoms point to a bypass issue.

The tach can also be found at the ECM white or yellow, behind glove box.

What are you using to trigger your bypass (from the 791)  Are you sure the second starter is operating?

after i program learning the tach wire, i tried twice to remote start it was working, aftter i hook up for door trigger, doorlocks, and put it all together and ready to work to bed, but i tried to remote start after every done, the vehicles starts, but immediately dies.

i'm 100% sure i got the Brake wire right, i already test it with the test light.

can you tell me where exact located the tach wire at the PCM, i remove the glove box and see the module with two big black connector, the bottom plug, has alot of yellow, and white wires.

I used the Blue status (-) output to trigger the bypass. i also tried to remote start with the key in the Ignition.

My bypass is a CrimeStopper RS-TATA IV

Black (-) go to Negative Run Output from Remote starter. that go to the BLUE (-) wire

(+) 12 volts go to 1 Ignition wire
