I have  installed a backup camera on my lisence plate, wired to my backup lights.  I would like the camera to work all the time, not just when in reverse.  Does anyone no where I can  tap into a close constant  12 volt.  I tried the trailering harness, but didnt work for some reason.

Thanks Billy

Are you one of those guys like me, that drives with their parking lights on....?

You really want this camera on some sort of trigger. Costant 12 volts is constant 12 volts.

Try the "posers" (parking lights) in the trailer harness. Just my thoughts....

Not realy shure about the "parking lights" thing!  I do a lot of hauling ( four wheelers, camper, trailers. etc.) and most of the time I'm hooking up to them with no help.  I'm use the back  up camera to guide myself to the trailer hitch.  I hate when the camera cuts off pulling foward.  I guess my best bet is tapping into a remote at the fuse box.

Thanks

Billy

Just get ignition or accessory wire to one side of a toggle switch and the other side to the reverse input on the deck. doing this makes the HU
into thinking its in reverse when you hit the switch.

Is it the 07 classic body or new body? new body should have a constant running lamp. Are you trying to hook up to a 7 or 4 way plug on your trailer wiring? Your safest bet is to hit an accessory wire in the truck.
