Hopefully I don't miss any of your questions, I'll try to answer them all.
1. The purpose of letting the car see keysense is to disarm the factory alarm. Your remote starter should have a "pulse before start" output, sometimes called "factory alarm disarm."
The Dodge's wire is low-current, and no relay should be needed. You'd connect the remote starter's disarm output to the resistor, and the other side of the resistor to the car's PURPLE / brown wire. If your resistor value is a little off the mark, it'll probably work fine anyway.
Also, if you don't do keysense, it won't prevent the remote start from working.....it's just that the factory alarm will sound upon remote start.
2. It would be easiest to leave the bypass part for last. For now, leave your bypass unplugged, and concentrate on getting the car to sucessfully remote start with one of the keys 3/4 of the way into the ignition, in the Off position.
(Don't put the key all the way in, because that would trigger the factory keysense circuit....you want to make sure that your own connections are good.)
3. You mentioned the model number of your remote starter, but not the brand name, so probably no one here can help you with the remote starter's wire colors.
But, the car pretty much works like this....there aren't too many connections to be made.
--The pink white needs to see power, to turn on the ignition, fuel pump, heater, radio, and so forth.........just a basic connection from the ignition output of your remote starter.
--The PURPLE / brown needs two things:
A. A momentary negative pulse at the beginning of the remote starter, through your 8500-ohm resistor, to turn off the factory alarm.
B. A momentary negative pulse through a very small resistor (something like 180 ohms), to engage the car's starter motor and start the engine.
If your remote starter doesn't offer a negative starter output, but only a positive output, you'd wire up a relay like this:
85: starter output from RS
86: ground
87: connect your resistor here, connect other side of resistor to ground
87a: no connection
30: PURPLE / brown wire at key cylinder.
NOTE: There is usually a PURPLE / brown wire available in the main harness coming down the steering column, but it is NOT the correct wire. You MUST make your connection directly where the wires come out of the car's ignition switch.
