I made an attempt or 2 to see if there was anything already covered, but I didn't find anything (don't be surprised I suck at searching).
Any way, I have a work van, 2006 chevy express, and I'm looking to put a remote start on it. Obviously the company isn't too into paying for it, that's why I'm here.
I'm not really looking for super fancy gadgets, but I would like the remote start feature and keyless entry (it has electric locks now, but I don't think it has keyless entry, or at least no FOB). Since this is a work vehicle I'm also not looking to dump a lot of cash into it, I'm kinda hoping for less than 2 bills I can get something decent.
Last, this may be a pipe dream, but is there any way you can just plug in a harness (or tee off of one) to hook these up instead of tapping wires and what not?
Well, I think that'll do it for the questions for now.... thanks!
Lynn

Nice easy vehicle. Negative locks so no additional relays required, GMBP bypass makes it simple to get around the passlock II system, and it has factory anti-grind and over-grind protection so voltage sensing is a good way to go with that vehicle. You can pick up pretty much any brand remote start, my preference would be DEI, something like the Avital 4100 should not run you more than $75 and the bypass should be under $50 (these are approximate retail prices).
From what I know of T-harnesses they only help with the ignition wiring anyway, not any of the other connections.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
