Hey, i installed a 561r with a DEI 455T Into a 98 Grand Cherokee. I shut off the ignition controlled doorlocks, but the truck is still locking the doors once i press the brake pedal and deactivate the remote starter. It doesnt lock them if the truck isnt remote started, so i know its related to that. If i keep the ignition door locks feature ON, it tries to lock the doors twice. Any advice? (If it helps, the unlock is working fine, its just the lock thats messed up.)

I think this is a function of the 455T. When it sees the status output shut down (ie shutting off the remote start) the 455T locks/arms the vehicle. Although annoying when you get into the vehicle to drive it away it is a good feature if you remote start the Jeep, and decide you are not going out to leave and shut down the remote start via the remote...this ensures the truck is locked/armed when the RS is deactivated.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
