You can lump Pyle in the same crappy group as Boss and Legacy = garbage.

Advanced_Audio is right, there are MUCH better brands out there for the money.

Yea Pyle is not a very good brand. They deffinently lie when stating the power of their amps. The best way to tell what an amp can do is by looking at the fuses and their ratings. Obviously if an amp says it can peak at 2000 but only has 2 25 amp fuses, its a lie. There is a way to tell how much an amp can put out by knowing their fuse ratings. Im not sure how to figure it out though. Anyone else know?

Taking the fuse rating, multiply it by the voltage rating of the electrical system, then take the product and multiply that by the efficeny of the amp. So:

If we take a typical class d amp w/ a 90% efficency rating that has 90a of fusing on a 13.4v electrical system, we get

90a x 13.4v = 1206watts. but, the amp is only 90% efficent, so we take 1206 watts x .90 = 1085.4w

If this amp is rated as being 2000w, then you know the advertising is bunk. There is no way the amp can produce 2000w from only 13.4v while only pulling 90a...

Oh I know. And these low class brands need to lie in order to compete with the big names. And the average person would look at the RMS ratings, not their fuse ratings.

^^^ It's all marketing my friend. The average person would actually only look at the PEAK advertised power ratings, which just happen to be what most cheaper companies advertise as the actual amp size.

the manual states 1200w rms at 1.3 ohms.  Fuse size is 40x2.

It might not be 1200, but it's probably in the vicinity.  Might be worth it if the price is right.  Who knows -- for $150 if might be a killer deal.
