I am trying to install a Jensen VM9311 AM/FM/DVD Receiver into a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan.
How do I connect the steeringwheel volume/search controls so that they will be operateable?
Is this even possible?
I have found a aftermarket product which allows for a remote unit to be installed between the receiver and the wheel controls, but the search features will be unuseable. (From ABC Wearhouse/Mickey Shore, in Michigan)
Can this install/connection be done without the aftermarket unit here in house, or do I have to sacrafice the search feature, and make due with only the volume adjustments?

PAC has a universal one that may work for you.
Part Number: SWI-X
The SWI-X allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. The SWI-X also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-x features just can't be beat.
Patent No.: US 6,956,952
• The SWI-X interfaces will only work with infrared remotes that use a 38-40kHz carrier frequency.
• The SWI-X is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface.
• The SWI-X has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle battery is disconnected.
• The SWI-X not only covers Ford, GM or Chrysler/Dodge but also it covers Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chysler, GMC, Harley Davidson, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan.
