Hi, there.

I'm going to be installing an EQ indash under my HU. The EQ (30w x 2) has a 7amp fuse inline -i'll only be using the RCA's. The HU, 10amp fuse -only using RCA's as well, internal amp 'off'.

I have the 12v constant and 12v switched wires for the HU ran together, so I can turn the unit on with ignition off. Ran straight to battery via 12g, fused 15amp at battery.

I was wondering if I can use a single 12g from the battery, fused 15amp at battery, and y it off for both the HU (constant and switched tied together) and the EQ. If this is OK I will most likely ground them together also -12g for the both of them.

Anything wrong with this? Do I have to run separate wires for the HU and EQ? Is 12g sufficient enough (not using eithers' internal amp)? Is a 15amp fuse at battery sufficient for them?

Thanks for taking time to at least read this.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if you're using an EQ, your HU will draw nowhere near the 10 amps it's fused for.  That being the case, your 12ga. wire should be more than sufficient.  Good Luck!

You should have no problems doing this - especially if you aren't using the internal amp in the HU.

Sweet. I though so, and figured the 12g would be sufficient. Thanks for the responses.
