I have been tryingnto find some 15 inch Ish LCD screens for my truck I'm having trouble. Do you guys know some good places to get 12 volt screens at a reasonable price?I have found on i like for about $400 I'm wanting to put them In the back of my front seat. What are some tips for installation? how should I mount them?
Any help would be great
thanks

I could use computer moniters but I want something very thin and would rather not have to use my inverter

I think the cheapest way to go is to buy a flip down or headrest monitor and pull the scren out of it. But im still wondering the best way to cover up the edges of the square cut in the back of the seat ill be making. If the monitors thin enough ( I found a 15" advertised as being 1/4 thick) then I'm not against sticking it to the back seat leather with mounting tape or if you guys have a better idea.

Are you wanting to put the screen in the back of the passenger and driver seat?

I agree that you should look at some cheaper overhead tv that come with the screen only, then remove the screen from the assembly. sonicelectrnix.com ahas a few decent deals, but im sure you can find tons online. My tips for installation...seek professional installation if your not 1000% comfortable that you can do it alone.installers dont let friends install :P . This is a good tutorial thread on installing your own headrest monitors , it should be pretty much the same type of install, but it should give you a good idea of the proper steps in the install process.
Cheers

hey guys thanks for the help so far. Thats a good thread on those headrests but unfortunaltly my seats and headrests are all one piece! I will sooner or later be getting some aftermarket seats so I might as well wait till then.
Oh and I have drop my requirments to 10" screens. Sonic has some headrests that I could pull apart or use as designned depending on the new seats.
And no offense to anybody but every "installation" shop I've been to has either rippede off, givvene the wrong part, or been incredibly inept. Maybe its just a bad sellection here in Tulsa I don't know. Iran for example I have an autopage rs1000oled allarm charged me 860$. He was all acting like he was giving me a discount because I new his son. Sept every other place on town is selling it at the same price. Wick happens to be 500$ over what I can get it for at sonic. Though I didn't know it at the time.
Then one day my lights start blowing a fuse every time I turn em on and use the parking break. So I take it to the shop and I sit for an hour, hour and a half. Guy comes out gives me the keys and is all "ready to go,problem fixed" so I leave( I know should have check but I didn't ) and NOTHING has been fixed! I don't think they even took the dash apart to look. So I fixed i it my self, one wire was grounding. And I don't think I'll be goin back there. And niether will anyone I know.
