So I had a friend that wanted a box to go in the back corner of his car. But wanted to still be able to put his top in the trunk and have it not take up too much space.

So this is what I did.

Prep.

looks nice.  I was just getting ready to build a sub box for my vette.  Few questions,

why did you do it on the passanger side? I know the JL stealthbox is on the driver, any reasoning why?

does the top still fit on the holder, and is there enough room for the sub excusrion if the roof is off?

where did you get that carpet?  it looks like a close match to the OEM.

btw, nice work

I did the passanger side instead of the driver side, because the owner of the guy is very much into performance. So we did it to add wieght to the other side of the car instead of the driver's side. The JL box is done on the drivers side so that they can sell the came box to both C6 & ZO6 guys. The ZO6 has a battery in that compartment.

The top does go in and the driver does not hit the roof at full excution. I actually tried to make it fit a 12" sub but it was to tight and touched aliitle on the roof.

The carpet is about the closes thing I have found to the OEM stuf and it is not carpet (it has no backing) so it stretches really well. I have alot of the vette guys buy it from me because it seems that no one can find anything as close as what I have found. I had to buy a complete roll. So I sell it know. It comes in a 63"-64" wide roll and I get $50 a yard for it, plus shipping. If you are interested, just let me know 1 yard should be enought to do the box and an amp board across the floor of the trunk behind the seat. Just email me at gcorra@YSTR.net
