Whatever sounds best to you. You're on the right track by going to have a listen.

Find what you think sounds best, then go shop around.

What are you going to power them with?

I recomend memphis find a shop that sells them and take a listen, sometimes if you ask they will let you listen to them in one of their cars, in my opinion that's the best place to get a good feel for them.
well?

the installation also plays a HUGE part on how speakers will sound. My 60 dollar pair of Kenwood two ways sound AWESOME after deadening the whole door inside and out

Never find a better tweeter for >200.  Never.

I would expect to pay right about 200 bones.

I second that emotion. I am using the VR tweeters in my car, and I haven't ever heard anything like them, and I STARTED (years ago, mind you) with Infinity eMIT Kappa Ribbon tweeters. I KNOW nice tweeters, and those are nice tweeters! your opinion, best pair of 6 1/2 compon. - Last Post -- posted image.
For just a few extra dollars, you can get the C5's... The VR tweeter, with the ZR woofer. THOSE systems rock! But, as I said, it'll be a bit more than two notes.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
