I have been pondering the idea of replacing the rear view mirror in my Avalance with one of those with the video screen such as this one. http://www.online/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?Productid=15457
I tow a 20' enclosed car trailer a lot in the summer to motocross races and would like to put a camera on the back of the trailer to watch behind me. Could I simply get a rear view like in the link above and get a camera and hook it up without anything else special?
I don't really want to get a flip out monitor in my dash since I cannot find one with the features that the single din units like my eclipse have, and this seems like the best option.

Yes.  I didn't look at the site for the rear view screen but all you will need is the camera, the screen, the power wires and a video cable.  It should be a very easy and straight foward install.

They work great.  You really need to look at the dimensions of the unit.  It is rather large.  I think it was an H2, there was not enough clearance between mirror and overhead console.
