Door trigger

what does dome/door trigger mean? I have a negitive and a positive of this wire on my alarm system were does it go?

why dont you tell us the brand,and the car this alarm is for,we go from there.

Its a Vampire alarm. 94 Honda Accord EX

You need to find out weather your door pin switch is a positive or negative at rest. To do so take out the switch and use a volt meter to measure the voltage on one of the wires. If memory serves me right, one of the wires will always be a ground. Push the door pin switch in and then let it out. Find out which wire gets voltage when the switch is moved in and out. If it has voltage in the in position then you need to hook that wire up to the alarms negative door pin input. If it has voltage in the out position then you need to hook it to the positive input. my alara has a negitive  dome/door trigger  and positive, so thats for locking and unlocking? thnx
