Hi, can anyone tell me what the best bypass module for a 2005 altima 2.5s would be?. I am wanting to install a ultrastart r/s alarm in it , and need to know if it needs a bypass, and which is best.

I am thinking the can- sl2 from idatalink, or the bypasskit xk02, from what I have read, the can-sl2 is the better route. Any oppinions?

XK02 isn't for trasponder bypass, it's for doorlocks. And that car's so easy to do locks/trunk on, I think a module's a waste of money. The search feature should help you find how to do locks without even going into the door.
XK07 works fine for transponder bypass, but be sure to buy from a seller who's smart enough to ship it to you with the right firmware already in it.
CAN-SL-2 should work just as well as XK07, and has more features......I think it'll do the locks too.........kind of like having an XK02 and an XK07, all in one, for the same price as an XK07.
The CAN-SL-2's tach output is nice, but it's not reliable.

Thanks for the input Chris, I think I will go with the idatalink module because it does cover all the bases. Thanks again.

thanks for your input guys, I was just reading info on another web site, and I think their info was misleading. Thanks for setting me straight. I found the idatalink web site, and found what I was looking for there. Thanks again.
