amp powers on until the volume turns up

i will definitely check that out. I know that one voice coil on one sub has already broken. It very well could be that they have finally given up. I could even try and hook up the one sub that should still have a good coil and see if it works. My buddy recommended me to a good stereo repair guy. He said that they could look at the amp for me no charge to see if they could track down the problem. Thanks again for the help. ~Jason
