i am in the process of installing an aps620 in a 1995 f150 and i cannot get the "brain" to recive the tach signal i have wiring guides from 2 sources that state the tach wire to connect to is tan / YELLOW.   is there a way to bypass this or another place to put the tach wire?

Tachometer     TAN / YELLOW     (-)     COIL ON ENGINE
Did you try to learn tach by turning key on, push valet three times, horn will honk if connected turn ignition off push and hold valet switch and then start truck. If the lights flash then the tach has been learned.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
