hey guys have avic D3 that was installed in a 2007 toyota solara worked great for 6months now the touchsreen wont work I could select am/fm,dvd,nav but when i touch the screen it wont do nothing.can this be fixed cause I had the distributor send it to pioneer and they said it can/t be fixed, is this true? would it be worth it to have a mom or pop shop repair it?or the unit is done?bought the unit in march 2007 I should have one year warranty right?thanks.

sounds to me like it is toast. If you got it from a big box store and you got a service plan I would go that route, if not you can try pioneer but i am pretty sure that they do not cover their screens so worst case you are SOL and if you really want you can try a mom and pop shop. good luck. on a side note this is why the service plans at the big box stores are 100% worth it, especially on touchscreens.
