so i have an l5 12" DVC 4 ohm and i built a ported box for it but it has really low deep bass but i want more overpowering bass for small competitions and stuff. i know i only got one sub but i have seen my step brothers win comps with just one 12. lol. i have alot of room too, i got a 94 exploder. also anyone make them in the dallas area that i could pay to make? thanks. i need it to be tuned to like 35 or 40 htz. so all advice will be takin into onsideration.  Thanks everyne who replies!

I can make you up a design...just give you how much power you have and maximum dimensions.

i have in my back hatch area... 39 wide x 23 deep and about 17 or so high. i got a L5 with 600 rms and a boss riot series amp that pushes 800 rms. i like building boxes cuz there straight up fun and pass the time but now i wanna build a high spl box pretty much. ive seen some ideas on the internet but dont know what way would be the best to go. on ebay there is a box called the fat box for kicker solo X's and i was thinkin bout tryin that. good or no?????

i dont think that would be a good idea. the l5 is a good sub but side by side comparison make the solo x look like a baby. Nothing bad about your sub its just that the solo x is in a completely differnt class. I beleive that sub uses somewhere around 10000 watts

Alright.
What are you really looking for?   Are you looking for a box that will be used at shows only, that is not able to reproduce music and only a tone?
Or are you looking for something that does decent numbers on a meter and can play music too?
I know you are looking for 150DB, With 1 L512 and a very very small amp in an explorer im gonna say right now it will not be done on the term lab meter with the meter either on the floor or dash.
I can assist in the box design, but need to know what you are realistically looking for. With the power you have availible and a single 12. I would say low 140's is going to be where it is going to peak out
