I installed a compustar model 2wss-as on a buddies truck. I soldered every connection and checked for proper wire prior. He got this alarm from, I'm assuming an unauthorized dealer. It was missing antenna and pre-wired relay for 2nd ign, str,or acc. so we ordered a new antenna (ant-2w-900fm) and I just made up another relay. The problem is once I try to program the remote the headlights flash twice. I can not get headlights to flash once. I installed a pro series on my truck and had no problems. I have been researching and Ive tried all suggestions offered for programming the 2-way. I also read something about the antennas being programed to the brain from the factory. If you get a new antenna it must be progammed by the remote. If this information is correct... heres the million dollar question how the hell do you program the remote with a non programmed antenna and how the hell to you program the antenna with a non programmed remote lol.

The problem I can see is that you ordered a 900mHz antenna but the remote controls are set for 433 mHz. Confirm that both the rmeote and the antenna are the same frequency. If one or the other differs this will not work.

Ok that could be a problem I will have to check that. An autorized dealer told me the part number I needed so I never questioned it. Would you have any idea the part number and/or where to purchase. I appreciate your help.

Look on the back of the antenna. There is a part number there and look on the back of the remote control as well .

Ok good I will just take the one he bought cause I know its the same one I have because my range is not that great. When I installed it I didnt like the way it looked in the windsheild so I mounted it vertically in the A-piller and bent the antenna out ha ha I know not too smart. But I do have a question about my pro series, my parking lights stopped flashing upon alarm, disarm, and remote start. Beside the fuse is there any other setting I could have set on accident while changing some program options? Thanks guys

When there's no parking lights it's because your in VALET mode. If your remote start still works and the parking lights are still not working, i's a connection problem.

Ok thats probably what it is. Mine was the first one I installed and I didnt know a right or wrong way so it has butt connectors, inline splice connectors, etc. Lets just say Im not a big fan of any connectors. I solder EVERY connection no matter what it is and I think I want to tear mine out and do it up right. Does anyone know where I could get that antenna?

Go to Compustar.com and do a dealer search for your area.
