rca location

i installed my radio, eq, and 2 amps. why when i connected the rca to the bass amp, the bass was not working, but when i disconnected one side of the rca (blue side) it started working fine. why does did that happen and did i do something wrong? dustin213

Does the other RCA cable work when only that one is plugged in?

yes. when i plug 1 one rca which is the rca has two sides/connectors(normally blue and red) or plugs into the amp input for the rca. when i plug two into the amp input, it sounds bad or wrong but when i unplug 1 of the connections of the rca it sounds fine, why? dustin213

Are you sure you have the coils wired correctly to the amp? Im asking because If you have 1 coil wired correctly but the other coil wired backwards, the coils are then basically pushing against eachother. It sounds like pressurized air. Check your connections. Make sure each coils positive and negative are to the positive and negative on the amp. Another thing to check is what are the subs ohms? You said they are dual coils per sub. So basically its like having 4 single coil subs. How many channels is the amp? The reason I ask this is because depending on how you have the subs wired to the amp, you might be drawing the impedence (ohms) down below what the amp can handle. But when you only insert 1 RCA, thats taking away half the power thats needed, thus not dropping your impedence on the sub. First check what ohms your subs are, and also check what your amp is stable at then let us know.
