idatalink ads dl in 07 yukon

I was just preparing my bypass guide for an install today in an 07 Yukon. I would be using an Idatalink ADS-DL in ADS-DLSL-GM3 software. After printing the guide it is telling me that in order to install it without using the add on ring it is going to consume 30ma at rest. Anyone have any issues with these? 30ma is more than I like to add onto a vehicle's system. I noticed this must be an update as I have never seen it on the guide before. Anyone have experience or care to add their 2 cents?

30mA isnt much, if your looking around 50mA, the car batt will drain farily quick. SUch as starter kills, long periods of time with the car off will cause the batt to die out completly. if the customer is going to start the car after a day then you should be fine.

i just work on a 2007 chevy tahoe which is the same thing and i use a piece by crimestopper can sl2 and it works great it does everything check it out

Yeah the ads-rng gm3 will save 30ma. But if the customer drives at least three times a week it'll be fine. But if they leave for long periods of time. Yeah your going to have a battery drain issue. But 30ma is nothing but adding 30ma to the current draw is what makes the difference."dont ground out!"
