Hey guys, I'm gonna be helping a friend put a sub in his 04 dakota. I've only had time to take a brief look at the truck but, it looks very tight on room.  He's looking at an 8 inch solobaric or a bazooka tube. I'm sure some of you have done this vehicle. Any ideas where to mount it and an amp? We can build a custom box if necessary. Thanks

The only thing I've done in these vehicles was put the JL Audio Stealthbox under the rear seat.  At the time that I did the truck the stealthbox came with an 8 inch W6 (version 1).  It sounded great and slammed pretty good.  Other than that you will probably have to build a custom box.

MTX makes a thunderform for 2 10's. I am currenlty running one in the shop dakota. Its plenty for the cab of a dakota. I mounted the amps under the front seats.

Wow, it doesn't look like you could get 2 10s in that truck. How much room is under the front seat?

Thanks for your replies

Man those subs must be pretty shallow. Looking at a picture it doesn't look like there is much depth there. Thanks extreme

5.25". Diamond d1 10's fit. Or you could do a shallow mount sub.
