I know this is in the car audio forum, but I thought it fit better here than anywhere else. I am about to buy a shiva x for my HT setup.
I will be powered by a Dayton Plate amp (500w). Ive been looking at the enclosure suggestions and I am wanting to get a little crazy. Should I just stick with one of the ported suggestions, or what? space is not really an issue, as I am loosing my jank towers with 12's in them.
Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend staying with one of the specified designs.  Kevin provides good data of what kind of response you get with those alignments.  Just choose the one that provides the response that works best for your room and tastes.

If space isn't an issue, then why not go with the Tempest X instead?  It only costs $20 more and should give you better extention and output.  Also check out the O Audio 500 watt amp DIY Cable sells.  It should match up with the sub nicely.  I just ordered that setup for my HT.
