any advice and equivalent pre-amps and processors to the JL cleansweep.  Just bought a 2007 f150.  hate the OEM H\U, but wife likes the look.  So as I put all my gear in, I have to compromise somewhere.  So i'm keeping the radio.  I like the cleansweep, but don't want to spend that much, any ideas??

Not really - that's a pretty unique product and Ford HU's are probably among the worst offenders of signal manipulation.

I'd bite the pricetag - really not all that much more than a high quality HU.

Have you tried SHOWING wife some of the latest Alpine or Pioneer models - maybe with dancing screen savers at Best Buy?

Never met a girl that didn't like blinky, shiny things.....

I showed this girl a new Pioneer HU the other weekend and I haven't heard so many oooooos and awwwws since -

A lot of companys basically make a similar piece. Alpine and Kenwood come to mind. I have 2 JL cleansweeps brand new in the box. Make an offer.

I've got to start keeping up with new gear.

Are there any magazines like Car Stereo Review still being published?

The only one that I have heard that is as good as the JL Cleansweep is the Rockford 360 unit.

How about the LC6i?  I know I will need summing because of ford OEM, and this claims to have internal summing.
