It won't start with your hood pin screwed up... fix the hood pin, and it will.

I agree with the magnetic hood switch - wierd. I went over to a local electronics shop and picked up one of the mechanical push switches and was still having the issue of the unit thinking the hood was open.
The 10K ohm resistor fixed the hood issue. I installed it and right away the unit started. KarTuneMan - I thank you and my friend thanks you!
Everything seems to work fine now - it cranks the engine - all I need to do now is program the tach. Looks pretty straight forward according to the document you sent me.
Thanks again! 2000 isuzu trooper, astrostart 120a - Page 2 -- posted image.

I spoke to soon - having trouble finding the door lock/unlock wires in the drivers kick panel.  Help anyone?  Picture would be great or help in finding the correct connector.  The wire diagram that I downloaded from here doesn't give any more information than RED / Blue and Light GREEN/ red in the drivers kick panel.  I have looked and am unable to find either of these in the numerouse connectors there.

Thanks,

The Astrochart shows green for lock, and GREEN/ blue for unlock.    In the kick.... of course.

Get your DMM out and start pokin. They are negative trigger. Test with the key in the door. (just for the hell of it)
