Ive been trying for like a 2 weeks to put a after market h/u in a 2000 buick park ave. Iam using a metra 70-2001 harness. Metra said the pins are all correct, but everytime I put the h/u in, the entire gauge cluster jumps back and forth. I unhooked the amp turn on, annt, dimmer was never hooked, amp ground, and the ground wire. I re grounded it, and it did it again. so I took it out. I was looking for another place to run the acc and 12+ and it started doing it again w/o a h/u in it at all. I plugged the factory cd player back in, and it still did it. I plugged the antenna back up and it stopped. and worked fine, with the factory h/u. It actually arced when I plugged in the antenna. When the cluster was jumping, I noticed it only did it when the daytime running lamps kicked on.
I had the aftermarket h/u plugged up to my soundboard for 3 days, making sure it worked properly.
Iam stumped

If it arced when you plugged in the antenna, it means that its using the antenna as a ground. I would start by checking the ground in the harness.
