i have a panasonic cd player and i love the way it sounds, i want to add a indash dvd player/tv to my system, my question is can i use the preamp outputs, either front or rear, to hook it up to my panasonic aux inputs if the new indash dvd doesnt have any audio outputs? if the question dont make sense ill try to re word it, thanks

could i just use some y adapters and split my front, rear, and sub outputs from my panasonic to the new indash

if the dvd player has an audio out, and the cd player has an aux in, then yes, it can be done.

the model im looking at does not have an audio out, but it does have front, rear and sub out, could split my rcas going to my amps to both decks?

can you provide some model numbers I can look at? If you split your RCA's you'd be feading two different unit's signals to the amps. What you are wanting to do is provide signal to your cd player to allow it to do your processing for you. Something to think about is most indash dvd players are set up to do 5.1 surround so you might run into trouble there. Some thing you might want to think about is doing a slave screen with a remote dvd player w/ audio out into the aux in on the cd player.
