has any one adapted or know how to adapt

and aftermarket in dash nav ( avic-z2)

with a pilot with RES?

bottom line, would like to add the z2, no problem really, but

would like to retain at least stand alone function of the RES

is there a adapter available , or something in the works

thanks

Josh

Your going to have to wire in a set of RCA's into the RES input feed and run it to the AVIC HU.

the RES   dvd is actually in the dash below the factory head unit,

but all the components are interconnected,

i suspect once the factory head unit is removed the RES will not function

can anyone make sense of this wiring- it may help

this is a NON-NAV system, exl with RES + XM + 6 disc in dash only

thanks

Josh
