An amplifier can be daisy chained to another amp.  Look for a pair of jacks on one of the amps that says "line out".  RCAs connect the full input signal to the next amplifier.  You can also parallel the turn on wire by jumping from the first amp to the second.

The other way is splitting the input signal to both amps, in the event neither of your amps has a line out.  RCA splitters are made for that purpose.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

hey stevdart, thanks. looked at the amplifiers and the big amp does have an jack line out, but the other one doesn just a line in. so i connect the line in to the line out,  and jump the turn on wire from the 2nd amp to the first amp. ok that wud make it easier, i wasnt sure how to but that seems really easy. thank you so. ill try that.

im not sure if the z24 is different but on the standerd ones you have a little work in front of you. i havent done one in a while so ill give it a shot.you have to remove the whole top of the dash. there is a screw at each end of the dash behind the triangle trim panels that you have to pop off. open the glove box and up to the left there are two nuts on a metal bracket (10 mm i think). there is a few screws by the windshield in the defroster vents i believe. at this point the dash should lift off (i think). after the dash top is off there are some screws holding the front panel on from behind. once you get that loose turn the key on, shift it into 1st gear and pull the panel out. from there its pretty easy

Sorry if this info is off a little its been a few years since i touched a cav. but anyways this should point you in the right direction

hello, IM the guy with the 99 z24 cavalier, i had help with wiring up my 2 amps, and getting the dash out, i installed the head unit, i connect the remote wire the the blue wire in the deck, my two 12's that i have hooked up to my onw amp will pound for 2 secs then go crackly and the sound is really really quite, u wudnt be able to tell if subs were installed. the the one 12 that i have wired, im not getting any sound out of it. i have full power to both. i jumped the one remote wire to the other amp, and did the same with the rca's, hooked the RCA from the 2nd amp to the Line out jacks of the other amp. I have a capacitor to one amp controlling the two 12's but didnt hook up the other amp to the capacitor. my cap is a rockford 1.0 farad. for my ground I drilled a hole into the car frame, used steel wool to srape away the paint to get to the shiney metal, used a bolt to hold it down. my two 12's are pheonix gold x maxes, and the other 12 is a kenwood. my 2 amps are both kenwood, one is kac-8102d wich is powering both the x maxes and the 2nd amp is a kac-6202 wich is powering the one kenwood sub., my  head unit is a pioneer. can any one tell me wat i can do to fix my subwoofer problem and get all three to pound!! what can i do?

Make sure you have some heavy gauge wire going to your amps ,I use 1/0 my self but you might get by with somthing smaller 2 gauge, and I would try it without the cap ,Just make sure you have upgraded your wire to your alternator and chassis ground.I would get a deep cycle battery to.

hello, me again. so i have figured out whats going on with my system not working. its the battery. my onw asnt srtong enough to power what i have. so just yesturday i went out and bought a new battery. it powered my sound system. except that my left head light and fog light went really dim.  same with the bright head light. everything on the left is really dim. after i installed my new battery, i had my stereo on and subs, everything was fine then my car started losing power, and i got it to a gas station after my car went completly dead, i found these guys to hlp me and try to give me a boost, that did nothing. after 30 min of figuring it out they found that my factory power cable on my battery  was corroded, they  sliced off the the red rubber and connected it, and the bolts were i lil duf in size. the positive went in fine, but not that negative, apparently the bolt was crossed threated,  next day i tighted the neg as far in as i cud. car was drivable and then later my car died again. can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix this problem. please and thank you.

Sounds like the alternator is not charging the battery, go to an advanced auto, oriley, napa, whatever is in your area and have your alternator tested.
