what happened to my zapco amp?

I have a Zapco 360AG 4 channel. Two of the channels were powering my components, I had them bi wired. 1 set of wire for the tweeter and woofer for each left and right, 4 sets of wire, 2 terminals. That all seemed to be working good, I did just check the resistance at the terminals 1 is 4 ohm, 1 is 5 ohms, thought that was weird. Anyways, the components were working and then I tried to hook up a sub to the other two channels. I took the leads from each channel and twisted togther, I thought this was a 2 ohm load at the amp? Then I tried to hook up a jl 12w3 3 ohm sub. My alpine w205 started sort of skipping and the sub moved a little bit, then the amp went out. Now the power led on the amp flickers intermittently, nut no output. I checked powers and grounds. I probably screwed something up inside right? I was hoping there was protection or reset, any other ideas? Thanks.

Yes, you probably screwed something up.  A couple questions: did you use the crossover that came with your components?  When you say you "took the leads from each channel and twisted together," what exactly do you mean?

When you say the power light flickers,  does is flicker or is it on for a half of a second then starts fading out  then a few seconds later it lights up and starts all over again? 

It flickers real soft, like soft light, off...... quick soft flicker, off...., doesn't seem to be a pattern necessarily.

Have you used a volt meter to check the voltage at the amp?  Check power and remote wies.

Was the amp turned on when you checked the voltages?  If so you have a bad amp.
