pku f1, 2000 cougar?

Hi everyone, just a quick question will this fit my ford /mercury cougar 2000 or do i need a pku-f3, thanks rob.

The PKF1 is my bypass of choice for that car. Simple hookup, one key to program, inexpensive and has proven extremely reliable in all the installations I have used it in. Yes, that is the correct bypass for your 2000 Cougar.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

I have never had any issues with programming the PKF1, just hook it up, start with a key, then remote start the vehicle. There is something about the manual that I do not like though...did you hook the red up as ignition or constant? The diagram shows the wire running directly to the battery positive, but it is an ignition wire input, not a constant hot. If this is correct, you may have your TX and RX wires backwards.

Hi, i have a main postive feed to the red wire and the brown to a fixed negitive.

Change the red to an ignition feed, not a constant hot. The brown needs to be on the ground when running output from the remote start, not a constant ground.
