i have a kicker 12" solo baric which handles 750 watts rms. would i blow it if i run a 1100 watt rms amp to it?

What is the model # of the sub? You have 1 of them?

What is the model # of the amp in question?

What enclosure will you be putting the sub in?

What vehicle is this going into?

The sub is a 2 ohm kicker solo baric S12L7 750 watts RMS and I'ma wire it at 4 ohms . I have two of them but the other is a 4ohm dvc so i don't think i can run them together because they're different ohms.

The amp is a SPL 2600D Phantom series which will give me 1100 watts RMS at 4 ohms

I have a sealed enclosure

The vehicle is a 2001 Acura CL- Type S

distortion is what blows speakers for the most part given that they are in the proper enclousure. usually clean power wont blow the speaker but you will want to up grade at some point to a highr rated speaker so you can run your amplifer to it's full potential, after all that's what you paid for.

Okay, so how do i not run my amp at its full power? Should i not play my music to loud? will the sub be ok for now until i get another amp rated at the subs capacity

i would up grade the speaker not down grade the amplifier. turning your gain to a level that does not clip the speaker is how you would go about it.

Okay! now i mentioned before that i have two of these subs but one is 4 ohm dvc and the other 2 ohm dvc. is there a way that i can wire them parrallel/series and get at least a 2ohm load and run them together. i check on the wizard calculator and it gave me a 2.66667 ohm load. my concern is can i do that or not?
