i already have one power wire running from my optima red top to my amp in my trunk for my sub (4 awg). my question is, would it be ok for my to run another power wire to the other terminal on the side of the battery? i am going to run another amp for my highs and mids, and a 4awg wire from the positive terminal to the alt.  i want to fix it to where i dont have to wire up 3 different 4awg cables all coming from one batt. terminal

Yes.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
