I've read around here a little while, but this is my first post. I have a 2002 single cab silverado. I'm trying to build a box for a kicker comp-vx 12 and have a zx1500.1 to push it. Don't worry it'll be wired at 4 ohms. I've never built a box before but if someone has already done a box for this same model truck maybe you could give me the dimensions and i could use the tutorials for the rest. Also i have a pheonix gold octane 500w ab amp that is pushing my sub now. If i put it on my jbl componet set should it be loud? Should i just scrap that amp and buy something better? Thanks for your time.

The mounting depth on the sub is 6.6 inches..... Are you a "short" person?

Your seat is gonna be WAY foward!

Yeah, I'm kinda short. The subwoofer is already in there behind my seat. It's just in a sealed box.

Well i hate to admit it but i just bought a box from a shop around here and had them install it...still not happy. He said it's tuned to around 40 hz. He also has my amp only turned up about 1/5 the way up. Wired at 4 ohms i think the compvx should be able to handle more but i told him i didn't have a warranty on the sub and he said that would be on the safe side. What can i do to make it hit harder?
