So I'm completing and alarm install which has hood pins, and a tilt sensor as far as sensors go's.  I also installed a DEI 520T. I've had this for years and never installed it until now.  I've diode isolated all my sensors to the instant trigger. I've tested all my sensors and they work.  The only one that doesn't work is the 520T. When I arm the alarm and disconnect the battery nothing happens. So I put the car battery back together and the alarm go's off! why is it behaving in the reverse? help.

Give it a few days to charge and then test it again.

Any technical reason as to why the alarm would sound when placing the car battery terminals back on though? anything to do with voltage of the battery? sorry, im a noob.

lots of alarms engage when the battery is disconected then reconected.  also remote starts at times may engage(ignite the engine) when the car battery is reconected that's why remote starts require* a hod pin kill swtch.  you can imagine what would happen if someone putting in a battery had their hand/arm near a moving part.

life is a comedy to think, a tragedy to feel

Isn't that just a DEI "thing" ?
I haven't seen it in on Audiovox, Ultra, Astro, or Scytek units.
But I have on the Clarion and Valet models I have installed.

I was hoping that when the battery is disconnected the alarm would go off.  Isnt that the point of a battery backup? What thief would put the car battery back on?
