i have an oldschool orion h2 15" sub that has 2500 max and 1250 RMS. i bought a crappy lanzar amp and dont want to underpower it so im upgrading. now i can run it at 4 or 1 ohms becuase its dual 2 ohm voice coil. i only have about 300 bucks for an amp. any suggestions would be awesome.

I definitely have a lot of experience with the H2 line of Orion subs! This is the amp you should power that sub with:

Of course this amp if far above your $300 price range.... but since you are obviously on a budget then I would go with this one:

If you can, you should definitely save up for the Orion amp I mentioned first above. I guarantee when you turn up the volume you will have a smile from ear to ear. need amp for orion h2 -- posted image.

Sorry, the link keeps changing for some reason whenever I post it.... Go to online car stereo and it's the Crunch GP2500D mono amp. The ground pounder series amps from Crunch are pretty decent. Never had a problem with them and for only $229 your not going to find anything much better for that price.

take a look at www.ikesound.com lot of mono block amps in your price range. take a look at the hifonics Bxi2407D. that should power that sub.

i was thinking about the mtx ta7801. it says its stable at 1 ohm and runs about 1200 rms at 1 ohm. which sounds like a good match up with a 1250 rms sub. what do you guys think?
