Use a mercury switch.About 15 or less @ best buy stores, i know I work there.help trunk release -- posted image.

You'll have to add a solenoid. we need to know what kind of car you have. what type of trunk release do you have with the car. do you push a button from the inside to open it or do you have to pull a release beside the drivers seat.

sinple4u, here's the diagram you need to install your trunk release kit to your viper alarm. You'll need a relay as well to connect the solenoid to the alarm.
