I have a 1997 Chevy Tahoe and I want to install a flip down monitor. There is a bar that goes across the area where the dome light is mounted which in most vehicles you can place the monitor there replacing the dome light. Can anyone give me some advice in getting ths flip down monitor in my truck?

HI,

I put a 15 inch drop down in mine..

I took out factory light.. Screwed the screen bracket  into the metal thats formed for dome light.. and put a wood board in the head liner and screwed other half of brack( cause if you centered it, it would be up to far..)sooo

Half the brAcket was screwed into metal of the dome light and the other half was screwed to the board in the liner.. Its Soild as a rock.. Simple too.. Dont take long at all...  Hope that helps.....
