What's the difference between the input and output to the air horn solenoid.  I only have two wires for the air solenoid, one which is from the relay to the solenoid and the other one is the ground for the soleniod which is grounded right at the solenoid.  Im confused about pin 87 and 30 on the second relay

Ok that answers one question - you're switching the power to the positive side of the solenoid.

I used the terms "input" and "output" with respect to the relay - they don't both get connected directly to the solenoid, though obviously they both are part of the circuit for it.

The input has to get constant fused 12V...if you had been switching the negative side of the solenoid, the input to relay 2 would get ground, and your positive wire to the solenoid would go directly to the battery or other 12 volt source.

Does that explain it?

if you want to do it another way i did this on y coupe

ran 3 wires from the horn back to under the dash to a 3 way togle ( 1 hot from horn button  2 feed to stock horn  3 feed for air horns )

this worked quite well so the cops could not give me a noise ticket for air horns
