Alright, this has been bothering me for a while, I'm hoping this question won't get deleted since it's not car audio, but a few months back I bought a Harman/Kardon Home Theater set up, and the port noise from the subwoofer is so bad, there are times it drowns out almost everything else. Anyway the question is:whats the best way to kill port noise in a pre-fab enclosure?

Best way to kill the port noise is to plug the port.
Best way to make the sub sound better is build a new enclosure

Which one? EXACT subwoofer model, please?
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Well, I tried the first and it completely got rid of the port noise, however it also dropped the output, by a lot. I'm more than willing to do the second, but I can't find specs for the sub, or enclosure other than power rating or outside dimensions. Suggestions?

I'll ask... Got a "connect" at Harman.

Yes. Yes, I would! No response as of now, though. Still waiting on a return phone call.
Check the "Miscellaneous" forum...

No, unfortunately... I called him again over the weekend, and he didn't answer. I have no idea what's up.
Still trying!
